My Review

Although not my usual genre, this book was okay. It's a story of love and survival in the Kruger National Park. Parts of the dialogue had me laughing out loud - do male South Africans really refer to their 'significant others' as "my lady" and "lass"? At times I pictured the Yorkshire Dales rather than South Africa! It felt as if the storyline was written around the wildlife-spotting, for example, it was crucial help was sought as quickly as possible, yet Peter kept lingering along the way to do his best David Attenborough impression! Me? I'd be running in the opposite direction breaking the land speed record...
