About Me

★ Addiction to Fiction ★

I'm Lynne and if you love books as much as I do, welcome to my blog. I launched this site in 2016 to share my love of fiction. I can't think of anything more exciting than embarking on an incredible journey from the moment I open a new book until its closing chapters.

My working background is in the British media industry where I was employed for over two decades at a Media Monitoring and Press Clippings business. Through my working experience I fully understand the impact publicity and reviews can have upon reaching a wider audience. Reading was a major part of my working life and has always played a massive part of who I am.

If you were to ask who my favourite author is, I would have to answer there are many. My love of reading began in 1983 when, as a teenager, I was given Graham Masterton's The Pariah as a gift. I was instantly hooked and my addiction to fiction began. I'm continually discovering new authors and new, exciting adventures. I especially love Thrillers (including Psychological), Crime, Horror, Action & Adventure and Women's Fiction.

The books I read and review come from a number of different sources including contacts I've made in the publishing world, ARCs from popular websites such as NetGalley, those offered to me through my blog and also books I've bought myself. Most of the books I buy are secondhand and come from charity shops or book fairs (I'm a firm believer in recycling). I'm always on the lookout for my next thrilling read.

Aside from reading, I enjoy photography, social media and spending time with my 17-year-old son and my fiancΓ© Joe. We currently live in the West Midlands in the United Kingdom. Joe is an avid collector / reviewer of vinyl records and CDs. He contributes to several music websites and has over 200 published interviews with musicians ranging from Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden to Whitesnake, Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy.
